Knocking on doors is the absolute most effective way to build genuine awareness, connect with our neighbors through meaningful persuasion, and ensure our community turns out to vote for Janet Tweed for State Assembly. Whether you are a seasoned campaign veteran or hitting the doors for the very first time, we’ve got you covered. We'll provide instructions and a partner and equipped with everything you need to succeed (including materials, maps, and a quick app for your phone). We'll be using VoteBuilder to assist you. Click RSVP Button for details and links AD102 Primary Candidate Debate  June 4, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm @ SUNY -Cobleskill  Non-partisan policy The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that promotes participation of citizens in government. The League does not support any political party or candidate. “Empty Chair” Debates  A campaign for federal office requires that a debate must include at least one candidate from at least two campaigns who meet “face to face” (in person or broadcast through a social media platform such as Zoom or YouTube) in order to hold a debate. The League adheres to this requirement. No “empty chairs” will be allowed. No one can substitute for a candidate. If only one candidate accepts an invitation to debate, the only option is to cancel the debate. The “Empty Chair” rule as defined by the FEC holds even if a candidate does not show up at the last minute.
